Now reports are claiming that Ranbir Kapoor has been called not as an accused but to understand the intricacies of the scam.

A recent report in News18 states that Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned by the authorities to get more information about the Mahadev money-laundering case. He has not called as an accused, but to understand who gave him money to promote the betting app.

Additionally, ED has asked Ranbir Kapoor to mark his presence at the agency’s office in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on October 6. Several other A-list actors from the industry are also under the scanner of ED in the case. If reports are to be believed, officials are expected to call these suspects as well.

About Mahadev Online Betting Case

The investigating officers conducted research in cities like Kolkata, Bhopal and Mumbai about money laundering linked to Mahadev Online Book App. For those unaware, Mahadev Online Book App is a betting platform headquartered in the UAE. ED sources revealed:

“Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, the other promoter of MOB Platform, have built an empire for themselves in the UAE. They openly display sudden and illegal wealth.

People associated with the case have spent approximately Rs. Rs 200 crore was spent on the wedding and officials are trying to trace the cash flow.

Bollywood celebrities allegedly involved in betting case

A source close to the case said that other B-Town celebrities including Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Sonakshi Sinha are also under suspicion. Reportedly, she was seen attending Chandrakar’s wedding in February 2023. Celebrities also attended the company’s success party in September 2022. The source further said:

“Celebrities accept large amounts of cash as remuneration for attending or performing at weddings. This money is the proceeds of crime and the celebrities are liable to take the money. More than a dozen celebrities attended the wedding and are seen in the video.

According to viral reports, celebrities received Rs 50 thousand. Rs 40 crore from promoters of betting platform. He paid the stars the money after attending a party at a seven-star luxury hotel in Dubai on September 18, 2023.
